Bill Rothman joined Proterra Properties in January 2026 as Chief Financial Officer. He leads the company’s accounting, finance, human resources, and IT functions. Previously, Bill served as CFO of the Kilbourne Group in Fargo, North Dakota, and Boulder Ventures Development in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He also brings more than 20 years of banking and investment banking experience, with leadership roles at IndyMac Bank/OneWest, Washington Mutual Bank, and Bank of America/BancAmerica Securities.

Bill earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Davis, and an MBA in real estate finance from the USC Marshall School of Business.

Bill is active in his community and previously served on the board of the Building Industry Association of the Red River Valley as treasurer and president. He has also mentored entrepreneurs through gener8tor North Dakota and gBETA Fargo.

Bill and his wife, Leslie, live in Parker County. In their free time, they enjoy being with their two children, Geoffrey and Courtney, and their four grandchildren: Nash, Harlow, Elody, and Jake.
